It proved correct for the Sinkers selection surprise last week.

I really think there is something to it. Maybe not foolproof but if you look through the videos and photos posted, all players in the red strip are in the senior team and everyone I can identify in the alternate strip are regular reserve graders.

Very true Ugg. That was the main reason I mentioned "Not foolproof". I just think I'd prefer to be in the red strip rather than the alternate one. All in all, these photos are released only a few hours before the announcement so it just gives me something to waste my time doing in the afternoon each Thursday. Perhaps I should get a life.

I noticed this too but maybe he was initially out of the team and was named due to Hayward's injury.

I reckon it will be Smith for Smith.

If there were any doubt over Smith taking his place I'd have thought Marsh would be named as an emergency. He seems the best equipped reserves player to play on smaller, zippy forwards.

All those "outs" for the Suns are pretty significant. Last time I watched the Gold Coast (probably a few weeks ago), the commentators were raving about Leslie and what a fine job he was doing in a key defensive role. Maybe they don't think there's a match up for him this week.

If you compare who've they replaced Ablett and Hanley with, that's a sharp drop in experience.
