Must win and must win well given Hawks are missing 6 of their best 22. Their back seven look particularly young except for Hodge and Stevic!

Love it. Beautiful day here in Melbourne. Lets hope the boys can get it done tonight, the last loss was to the Hawks. I expect us to be particularly fired up, time to give the Hawks a bit of biff back.

Extremely nervous as Clarko-Hawks are our kryptonite, but it's time we beat them.

          Swans by 12

Collingwood used to be our bogey team. I remember watching the 2012 PF; the joy of knowing we'd finally found a way to beat them.

Hawthorn have been a difficult side to beat for some time but they are vulnerable. Swans by 19.

I know we are due to lose one, according to the laws of average, but not this one!! I am tired of being Hawthorn's whipping boys. Swans by 25 pts.

I'd take a 1 point win but I'd love to beat them by 50+

It's time we bombed this lot into oblivion with a downpour of goals. Go Bloods!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Interesting, I was unaware he umpired the 2012 GF. Even though we won, I still remember the free kick count of 26 to Hawthorn and 12 to Sydney. Stevic umpired the 2016 GF and free kick count was 20 to 8. Just a coincidence?? I think not. So if we make this year's GF, he will umpire again and we are stuffed.

Stevic again - right on cue.

This is a crucial game for the swannies. We need to stop Whorethorn playing keepings off like they did last time. I hope the coaches have prepared for it.

Sinclair was crucial for us last week but more so this week. If he can have a repeat performance it will give the hawks defence a real headache. They can double-mark Buddy but can they double mark Buddy and Cal - I doubt it. Then it leaves Gary off the hook to run amok.

Lastly, we need to tag Burgoyne at the end of each quarter particularly if the game is close.

I'm quietly confident we will win.

Agreed, they are well overdue for this type of treatment. Like that game against Geelong a couple years back at the SCG
where we won by 80 or 100 or something.... if I had my way, Hawthorn wouldn't score at all.

I was hoping to enjoy watching tonight's game, now that Stevic is umpiring, there is little chance of that. No doubt Hawthorn will get twice the amount of free kicks that we get (as per the usual standard). My level of confidence in winning has just plummeted.
