Changes for Rnd 22 V Adelaide

Adelaide has a tall forward set up, so would like to see AA giving a go!.

Also with Newman out, lets not risk Kennedy if he is not 100%; we are going to play finals, let peak for them!.

Apart from that, Haywood should go, Adelaide will make mincemeat of him as he does not have the physical strength yet.

Yes he did play well against Freo but Freo are Freo, and everyone played well.

    So: Newman, Smith, Haywood out.

In: AA, Kennedy, Edwards or Dawson.

Surely Buddy goes out this week and gets his weeks suspension out of the way with another wrestle charge

One interesting aspect of this game is that Adelaide have already qualified for top spot, so they may not take it as seriously as us.

          Strange OP.

Smith out for the week we play against Betts?

Newman for Kennedy is the only likely change.
He ate more cheese, than time allowed

This seems most likely. I can't see AA returning this year unless through injuries even then I would look to Laidler who is good one-on-one, has experience in finals and seems to enjoy being "unsociable"

Harry Cunningham needs to come back in for Will Haywood.
AA in for Newman. His composure in the two's was telling. He seemed to have more time than everyone on the park, every time the pill was in his hands.
Dawson will get a shot next year. He's competing with Hewitt for that tough, inside grunt. And Hewitt is playing too well.

Why would you have Smith out when he has consistently performed well against Betts??

Glad to see Aliir had a good week in the reserves, hope he gets a good run of form and pushes for senior selection but won't be this week. Only forced changes this week, if Newman is injured then bring in Kennedy (if fit) or Cunningham/robinson

And why are we ditching Will? Eye for a goal, excellent at ground level or on the lead. Runs hard. Game-breaker.

He does seem to struggle against the bigger body sides that are more physical such as Hawthorn or Adelaide, but he did alright against another physical side in Geelong. Its a hard call to make. I imagine Newman and Sinclair will probably be out, though Sinclair played much better than Tippett, who got a lot of his possessions during junk time (When the game was over in the last quarter). Coming in looks like Kennedy and I believe AA will get his chance with Adelaide's excellent forward line up set up.

My 13 yr old son had his picture taken with Kennedy on the weekend and he did say that he would be back next week for Adelaide game.

Haywood is a great young player and just seems to find space at the right time. However, he really struggles defensively. He can't stick a tackle against the flow of play and that's just purely based on his lack of strength.

I love watching him play and he's reminiscent of a Paul Kelly. Once he gets that strength, he'll be wiry and powerful. Breaking lines like Kelly did.
