Yep the tweaking of the team to 22 players that are mobile enough to bring high pressure

    It?s happening

Hence the arguments on here about selection of a player like Newman who has much more skill then some other players in our squad but just doesn?t fit the balance of players required to play the 2018 fast football version of afl

Richmond and the bulldogs last two years showed how u can out hussle and win if ur team is mobile enough and we are bit by bit experimenting with that also

The likes of Ollie, Fox and ronke now featuring in the snr team - mobile, quick, adaptable to the way the game is refereed and the continual changes in the interpretation of the game

    to make afl faster

Our matchups I felt against the cats were spot on

They really struggled to go with our fast breaks in the end but more importantly our effort for short off the mark breaks to gain easy uncontested possessions
"be tough, only when it gets tough"

What happened in quarters 2 and 3 then?

Reported on AFL website: ?Dean Towers (eye) is also unlikely after he failed to train with the rest of the squad on Tuesday.?

This from the following article: No worries without Buddy - sydneyswans.com.au

Franklin and Dan Hannebery (groin) have already been ruled out of Sydney's clash with North, and Dean Towers (eye) is also unlikely after he failed to train with the rest of the squad on Tuesday.

The forward copped a poke in the eye at last week's final training session and spent Tuesday watching his teammates from the sidelines.

Whoops.....just noticed Meg's post from an hour ago......

Should have gone in the ND so very pleased he slipped to us in the RD, reckon he'll become a best 22 player, if he ever recovers from the Gatorade drenching! The boys looked very pleased for him, they knew he had a real influence.
And then the punctuation mark. Fined in his debut match for 'instigating a melee.' What an eye-catching annotation for his CV!

              According to Harley.....

Towers to see the eye specialist tomorrow...expecting to be cleared to play.

Melican had a "setback" so now 2 -3 weeks away....Don't like the sound of that!

So If Towers is cleared, probably just the 1 change....

              OUT : Robinson

              IN : Towers

I suspect we will miss Mexican more this week than last. Brown and Waite have serious size for only Reg to handle

Has AA even been playing as a defender in the NEAFL or on the ball / forward?

Sorry to break up the theme. But should we not be excited that Mr
Nick Blakey has decided to become a Swan? I thought that was great news. Or am I one of the last to know these on this forum?

I didn't realise it until you posted here and I checked on afl.com.au . Great news, however, I don't think he will be available for this North game so we should probably talk about it more in the trading and drafts thread

Unless we can disguise Blakey as Sam Reid?

Sounds like he tried to comeback too quickly. Surely you can't have a setback sitting on your bum.

He had started to run again and was looking good but then had the setback (according to Harley video).
