Changes for Round 10 v Brisbane

Spot on..Lions play a high risk, up tempo style but do have an error or 2 in them under pressure. We need to play the percentages and not panic when the ball is pumped directly into our defensive 50. For that reason, I wouldn?t select Aliir this week - he panics and is a poor decision maker. Agree that a second ruck would be handy given Lions have Stef and Oscar. Rohan?s output has been poor and its time for him to go back to Neafl - we can?t keep picking him for the odd flash of brilliance. So for my 10c worth:
In: Cameron Towers
Out: Rohan McCartain (McCartain stays if Buddy suspended)

I think they?ll have to reward Cameron soon for his NEAFL form. Whether that?s at the expense of McCartin I don?t know. Think they?ll also be very keen to get Melican back too... Brisbane were too tall for Hawthorn
But no idea who?d go outLast edited by Markwebbos; 23 May 2018, 12:03 AM.Comment

Who goes out? I think McCartin would have to make way for Cameron and for Melican would they drop Gaz? Don?t see any obvious outs / passengersComment

In: Towers Cameron
Out: McCartin RohanThe difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.Comment

Totally. Gaz might go missing sometimes but he has that x factor that can provide the goal or tackle that wins the game. And he's fun to watch!Comment

There's an article in the Daily Telegraph today (republished by the Swans on their website - Swans in the media - May 24, 2018 - sydneyswans.com.au) that Melican could come straight back into the side. It's in the second article.Comment

Wow.
Suggest that Rohan is an out based on form, and suddenly you'returning against him.
By that way of thinking the selection group have turned against Towers, dropping him after one poor game.
Having said that, I would suggest that it is up for debate the number of poor games Gaz has had this year. The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.Comment

What's the measuring stick you would use to determine if has had a poor game. I would suggest that he, like all players, are asked to perform a role within the team. If the coaches are happy that he performed that role to THEIR satisfaction he keeps his place. Specific roles are not just measured by possessions.Wow.
