Despite the AFL admitting in the article that they could probably send out 18 letters of warning a weekend, we appear to be the only club to have received one.

I hate the runner. The sooner they get rid of them the better. Or at least limit them to taking out messages between goals and centre bounces, then straight off the ground.

Don't think Laidler is an isolated case, just suits the Vicentric media to blow it up. I often see runners filling holes at kick ins, never picked up

Not sure if he received a ban or a fine (if anything).

Ben Waterworth (yes, who?) on the Fox Footy podcast blatantly called the Swans cheats, saying the instruction would have come from the coaches box. I don't know why I keep listening to it, he definitely can't hide his dislike of the Swans.

Certainly shows that Laidler was a permanent fixture in the midfield for that period of time and it's understandable that people would be upset by that.

Also shows that our guys were absolutely superb after Allir kicked the last goal!

At a recent game, I convinced a fellow spectator the blokes in purple were ordinary people who had won a lottery that gave them the chance to run around during the game. I think they believed it because it was not much more bizarre than the real explanation.

Guilty as charged (but I have seen many other runners doing the same thing). Get rid of them. Let them run water/instructions after goals only and get them off before a restart.
