#AFL Rd 18 Swans v Suns, SCG, 21 July 2018 @SydneySwans #SwansSuns
Well done Gold Coast! Absolutely embarrassed and exposed a club that's been coasting all year and in ladder position that completely flatters their actual quality...
10 million dollars for one player - instead of spreading that money around 2 or 3 marque players would have been better. lazy overrated players, Heeney is the worst, followed by Jones.
Huge mistake at selection. Way too slow with two ruckmen in and no forward pressure whatsoever. This wreaks of complacency by the coaching panel showing absolutely no respect to the opposition.

Yet there were a lot calling for Cameron to get a game on the back of strong NEAFL performances. If not today, when would you have played him? And would you have left out Sinclair out so you weren’t playing 2 ruckmen?
a good coach would have this list in a top 2 position, instead we’re stuck with the not quite good enough crap that we’ve been putting up with for the last 5 years

I'm not sure we've been coasting. But our ladder position totally flatters us. Next 5 weeks could get very ugly.

You are being way too kind to the 22 players who have represented the swans poorly today. The complacency has come from them. 40-11 at quarter time.
Cameron earned his spot but has not earned his retention.

That's BS. We are now playing with a very young side. A number of key players have either fallen off a cliff, form wise, or got themselves injured:
Hanners
Jack
McVeigh
Reid
Naismith
Mills
Grundy
Rohan
I don't think we should be as surprised as we are at this performance given the outs. Problem is most of them are out of form. Do we really want to see Jack, Rohan, Grundy back next week?

I'm not saying Cameron didn't earn his chance but they needed to rest Sinclair if they were going to play him! The game has moved past playing two ruckmen. But I not so sure the game hasn't moved past our coach too.
And for the record I'm not a coach basher, they don't run out there and play the game. But our inability to move the ball forward this year with any fluency is quite concerning so I'm wondering about our actual game plan.

Are you talking about the list with more rookie selections than any other team?
