Swans chat Goodsey - Anh Do

I meant to have put this up last week, But Goodsey will be featuring on Anh's Brush with Fame tonight. ABC at 8:02pm. Will be fascinating to see how Anh captures his strength and purpose.

This is queued to be taped because Survivor starts tonight at 7:30 and evil Russel is here.

Mine is queued for the same reason. I'll watch it when the kids go to bed and i can focus.

Missed the first half of the show but turned it on just in time to hear Goodesy give McGuire a whack! Lovely!

Anh was fantastic with Goodesy and the portrait was magnificent.

And Goodesy was the strong, proud and wonderful man we were fortunate enough to call our own.

I've never even heard of this show before but I'm glad Flying South flagged it to us. Just finished watching it.

For anyone who missed it, I had a look (because I want to tell a few friends about it) and it's repeated at 5.29pm on Sunday afternoon.

You can't tell from the show how long the whole conversation lasts and therefore how long Anh took to paint the portrait but it was a pretty fine effort. It captured his demeanour fantastically.

Mind you, I imagine Adam has quite a collection of portraits of him hanging around his house (if he goes in for that)- there have been quite a few painted in recent years. My favourite is 'Be Brave', a framed print of which I have hanging right above my desk at home to inspire me whenever I feel in need.

Its well worth watching some of the previous episodes of the show. It is a fabulous show that really gives a great insight to some great Australians in a nice setting - and Anh is a great painter too. I believe you can buy it on DVD for previous series as well. Kurt Fearnley's episode last season was very enjoyable (As someone that met Kurt on many a time growing up - he grew up only about 20km away from me, it was a must see episode), he is every bit a gentleman as Goodesy - a wonderful fellow.

Ahn Do himself is a great Australian too - its well worth watching the show more generally.
"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."

It was wonderful. Don't miss it. Adam is a figure that transcends sport. In 40 years he'll be viewed as having been a major catalyst for change in race relations. Think Peter Norman.

A very powerful portrait of a wonderful man.
Last weeks show featuring Gill Hicks the London bombing survivor was a real emotional one they both shed tears during the show a must watch.

They weren't the only ones in tears. She was a very inspirational person.
