Absolutely not, I’ve always been a fan of Hanners. I’d still rather have him in the team out of form than not have him at all. Just calling it how I see it.

      #AFL Rd 21 Swans v Melbourne, MCG, Sun 12 Aug 3:20pm @SydneySwans #AFLDeesSwans

On the replay it looked like AJ clipped the Dees player (with his left leg) and that caused him to change the weight to the right knee which couldn’t bear it. [emoji22]

AA in particular has stood up in this quarter.

I’m glad we’ve responded positively in this quarter, I’m just hoping they can hang on with two in the bench towards the end (barring no more injuries).

Aliir playing ridiculously well. Lucky Melbourne can’t kick a goal.

Got home from work awhile ago to see the Swans down one goal to three then kick the next six! Was feeling pretty good about things when I opened up the AFL website to check stats and then I saw the AJ news.......that is just devastating! Just devastating! Poor bugger! It's just not fair......if we win this one, it will be a famous win!

Just tuned in now. 2 players down. Oh no. AJ knee. Horrided.

At least he got a comeback game last week and a great one at that

I think I heard the whole of Sydney scream 'NO" for AJ...Credit to the team for going strong after that..... Seriously I can't really get into the game much now...too sick at heart, I hope we win, but, I dunno, it just seems so very sad and unfair...

Great quarter. Tough with AJ and Smooch out, this game will be a true test of Horse's coaching ability and our boys' mindset in the second half. I won't fault anyone if we lose, but if we win, it's a big, big achievement.

We need to be super sharp in the 3Q build a decent lead. Shock and awe early to rattle them, then continue to rotate well across players.
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

Good 2nd quarter there, but aided by terrible kicking for goal from Melbourne. We are a chance if we can keep taking the game on like we did during that run of 6 goals in the middle of the quarter.

So sad about AJ though - that overshadows by far whatever result we get.
"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."

I am devastated for AJ. I had an I don't care about the game anymore attitude after he went off. I'm glad I'm at the game and couldn't see his emotion on tv. It seemed to affect the swans too.

They have dug deep and now I want us to win it for him!! See what happens when we dispose of the ball cleanly?

I'm worried about only having 2 rotations. We need to build the lead because they will overrun us in the last quarter.

                              Go swans!
