Seven News tonight Buddy only less than 50%to play this week. If it is any risk to play him why not give him a week off.

Is it the groin that was concerning him after the game?

Yes. OTC showed vision of when Buddy felt it in the last 90 secs of the game before he took himself off.

They (Tom Morris) also mentioned Luke Parker has to overcome a hamstring issue before he's selected this week, but did not elaborate further on the extent of it.

I'm still scarred by the game last year when McEvoy tore us apart, and I don't think we can count on Ronke to kick 7 again. (Although I will laugh my head off if he does)

We lack a decent tall marking target between the 50m arcs. If Buddy is out, the situation becomes desperate - it's basically Sinclair (who rucks all game on his own) and McCartin (who isn't yet old enough to shave).

I'm not sure what the answer is though.

Surely Dawson comes back in though, for either Buddy or perhaps Robinson (and Fox keeps his spot to help out Sinclair in the ruck a bit).

Who is he anyway. Never heard of him until he lobbed on OTC.

Sinkers to go forward. Cameron to ruck.

Man, just as I was allowing in a little optimism.

Either way, I've come around to the pre-finals bye a little bit, including before this news. I know it wasn't the objective, but giving the players a freshen up/an opportunity to come back from injury is a good thing.

I wonder if we would be better off if we rested our senior players this week. I understand if we beat the hawks we have to play Richmond . Is it worth the risk for a double chance to go into the finals with injured and tired players? Let the hawks play the tigers????????
Just a thought from a really old Blood.

That’s madness. No way Horse will rest players, with the double chance up for grabs. Let’s hope Buddy, Parker etc get up for Saturday.

And hope Reid gets to play some NEAFL this week too

Just as Buddy was starting to look quite healthy.
I wouldn’t risk him. He doesn’t seem to excel against the Hawks anyway.

Can't see Horse allowing them to throw this game for a chance of two chances... but if it means we don't play Richmond...
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Beat Richmond then we get another week off.

Rather be playing Richmond than Melbourne, this year’s potential fairytale

Scenario: Hawks do their usual "niggle the ex-teammate mind games", Buddy retaliates, suspended for finals.

Reckon he's too professional for that. Also reckon he's overdue to teach the old team a lesson.

Wow, cannot there are people not wanting us to make the Top 4 because we would have to play Richmond!

So what if we lose. Would mean a home final in the second week rather than the first. Would also mean a potential prelim against anyone but Richmond. Then our chance of making the GF would be massively higher.
