    Swans chat Swans' Pre-season 2019

The Sydney Swans first-fifth year players returned to the Club today for the start of the 2019 pre-season.

Finally! Mills looks to have been hitting the gym, hopefully some midfield minutes for him in 2019

The players have returned looking very fit.

And yes Naismith loves standing out!

He needs to seriously bulk up this pre season. I still think 2020 will be his break out year, maybe later next season. If Ling comes on as expected, I can see him passing Rylie into the ones.

The new guys, Clarke and Thurlow, look trim and fit and I like Clarke's attitude.....setting lofty goals and not afraid to go public about his desire to become the new Hanners.

I don't think I could spot Ling in any of those photos which is a bit of a worry.

I think it is more of standing UP in lieu of standing OUT.

Mills looks much bigger, hopefully the "break" last year has set him up nicely

I hope he's more interested in standing out on the field this season.

He's also still very young, it'll take him a few seasons. He's only a couple of months younger than McCartin.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

don’t think he’s younger than McCartin (unless you’re talking Paddy) as Tom was the youngest in the AFL last year

I didn't notice Melican in any of the photos. We need an injury free season from him.

I think Stellation simply meant to type "older" rather than "younger":

                              Tom McCartin, DOB 30-12-1999
                              Ryley Stoddart, DOB 15-10-1999
