And Adam Goodes’ new children’s book (written with Ellie Laing and illustrated by indigenous author and illustrator David Hardy) ‘Somebody’s Land: Welcome to Our Country’ is amongst seven shortlisted books for the inaugural Karajia Award for Children’s Literature.
This award was launched by the Wilderness Society to highlight stories of Country written or illustrated by Indigenous Australians.
Adam is leading such a rich and varied life away from football, I’m so thrilled for him. (Father of two now as well.)Comment

This post is about a past Assistant Coach rather than player. On Melbourne radio today, Wayne Carey claimed that John Blakey, father of the Lizard, was not consulted on the recent decision to make Adams the Interim North coach after the sacking of Noble. If this is true, then this is pretty poor treatment of their Senior Assistant Coach. Blakey was highly thought of at the Swans and deserves better treatment. Maybe Blakey could return to us next season, especially if Pike leaves to take one of those senior coaching vacancies?Comment

Zac Jones came under fire from his coach in the post match pressor. 4 possessions in a half for an onballer brought his scorn. Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.Comment

Yes, they were quite critical of him on the radio today. He has shown glimpses at the Saints since going there but has struggled to get on the park enough due to injuries. He is on good coin there and is now experienced so the pressure is warranted. Membery has given them much better service than Jones.Comment

At the time he left, and Paps was going to leave the same year from memory, you thought: where the hell is our pace on the ball going to come from. Jones was no more than an average footballer, but he was at least willing to take the game on.
Little did we know what our recruiters had up their sleeves since the 2018 draft.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment
