Rampe is such a penetrating kick and has good run and carry. We don't see it much because he's always taking the opposition's number 1 forward. With Maibaum and Grundy injured and the emergence of McCartain and Blakey, I think it makes sense to at least try Reid in defence. At very least he could get the ball to ground - I would back Rampe to win it at ground level too, he's as tough (and as stupid at times!) as nails.

Reid stays (providing he is fit) as he has been providing back up to Sinclair in the ruck and provides a reasonable contest. Allir had a run as ruck, which weakens the defence.Rampe is such a penetrating kick and has good run and carry. We don't see it much because he's always taking the opposition's number 1 forward. Buddy comes in for Jack and plays on a wing or high half forward, delivering the ball into McCartin, Blakey, Reid or Parker.spriteComment

I'm going down so I'll be available to play.
I'll just wait for my phone call from Horse.
Allegedly, everyone else got one last week... I didn't.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.Comment

Agree with this. Love the club but a flaw we have is playing injured players. Maybe they've learnt their lesson with Buddy but clearly Hanneberry was not fit last year and Jack has often played injured. No need for heroics- just wait till a player is match fit. Also, Mills and McVeigh should not have played in 2016 GF. Irrational.Comment

Really ?? I thought melican played his best game for the year against the dons. Looked much closer to the 2017 version than he has in previous games. If he starts hitting his straps we’llbut a much better side for it. Would rather drop Reid to be honest

I thought Menzel might sneak in too, but Horse said yesterday he needs more time in the NEAFL. Fox did a really good defensive job on Saad when we played the Bombers, so I think he stays.
Going to be an interesting selection as there are 3 players with possible injuries (Reid, KJ, Heeney), Buddy a question mark, not that many knocking down the door. And you'd think this would be a game we give ourselves a good chance to win.
I'm torn about KJ as he did seem to play better before his (non-concussion-causing) head knock.
IN: anyone but Clarke
OUT: one injured playerComment

Or if they play Clarke let him get his own inside ball and stay on the ground for 90%
NEAFL is a fairway back but 47 and 40 are going to get hard to ignore
Good match up for Cunnington
Leave Jack out, we dont need him to play more than 15 gamesComment

Agree. Harking back to his stellar 2017 form, Melican is a lock for the remainder of the season IMO. He was pretty good on Friday and is improving with every game.Comment
