#AFL Round 16 Bombers v Swans Sat 6-Jul at MCG #AFLDonsSwans @sydneyswans
Took the words out of my mouth. Poor form by a couple including Hayward, Florent as well as lack of vision and sharing in the forward line when it mattered by others. Opportunity lost despite the umpiring.

We have them where we want them, everything is going according to plan!
If we could free Rampe to run and carry off half back all game, not just when we are behind, we would be so much more dangerous. Plus give him the kick ins - Lloyd and Mills are heart in the mouth with theirs at times!
A game like this is why I don't care about the result of games anymore. Probably the umpiring was enough to give us the loss, but we screwed ourselves enough to do it without the umpiring. Although Hayward's work around the ground has improved, his forward work has been really poor, especially his goal kicking. I would definitely drop him before dropping someone like Rose. Florent has fallen away in recent weeks as well, which has also been disappointing.
I just want to see improvement this year, but this game wasn't it. We looked like a very poorly oiled machine.
There were some good performances today. Aliir was fantastic. He's a very clever player, and it seems we can play him anywhere. Of the young brigade, Rowbottom continues his good form and Tom McCartin was also quite good.
Bombers were much better in the air ....
They looked the better team today .
Not sure they looked that much better. Youth Inexperience and ineptitude cost us the game today. Some of the ineptitude was self inflicted but much was inflicted upon us by the umpires.
List of dodgy frees or ones to us we should've got if they were consistent:
1) Ollie "push in the back" on MTW
2) Holding ball on Blakey (where was the prior?)
3) Holding on Aliir in ruck contest with McKernan leading to crucial goal
4) Deliberate out of bounds by Stringer when tackled by Rampe in forward pocket
5) Where was the 50m when Dawson got elbowed in the back of the head
6) Push in the back on one of our guys as we were pressing in attack during Q4
That is literally off the top of my head. Even though we had our opportunities and wasted many, we still should've won if not for the cheating umpires. And can we stop bloody playing on!!!!
1) It was there. Picky but valid.
2) Wicked decision.
3) Aliir got pinged several times for holding, but both were doing it!
4) Disgraceful; hard not to see it as bias.
5) The single most outrageous action in the entire game.
6) Again, it was there. The real rub is why weren't Essendon pinged for exactly the same action?
The main reason for the loss was inaccuracy at goal. Even known excellent kicks fluffed chances. I hope they can put it down to experience and practise to kick more accurately.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
Yes, just accentuates what I was saying before, about the silliness of the various interpretations of fifty metre penalties. A late elbow to the head, where the struck player spends thirty seconds recovering: no fifty. An innocuous encroachment in the protected area, that doesn't slow the play at all: fifty metres.

And one of the idiot bomber fan boy commentators initially saying he had no problem with it?
Disappointing result. We should have buried them in the 3rd quarter, but we missed too many easy shots. Won’t bother talking about the umpiring.
I’d like to see Hayward back in the NEAFL personally. He looks like he lacks confidence, and he is failing the basics now. He was our most reliable shot on goal last year too!
