McKernan fined $2,000 for the late elbow to Dawson's head. I would say that he got off lightly, both in terms of the fine and it not being a fifty metre penalty.

Absobloodylutely! The worst moment in the match, and I was livid. Where were the umpires?
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

To be fair, they've only got two eyes. I mean, if they're looking out for any minor Swans infringement, while keeping an eye on Rampe, just in case he's tempted to climb a goal post; then it's probably easy to miss a flying, late elbow to the head.

              Too busy doing #freekickessenscum
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Fair dinkum when are they going to take heed of post career concussion issues. That offence should be a mandatory 2 weeks, but no not enough force, so gets a fine into the AFL Xmas Party Fund. By not giving a 50 metre penalty means the umpires are also culpable.

Damian Barrett has been reading RWO I swear

Sliding Doors: IF it's harsh for David Teague to hear it ... THEN - AFL.com.au

                    If:

Longmire ever presented openly about his views on umpires ...

                    then:

Exhibit A would be the 2016 Grand Final. And Exhibit B might be last Saturday's loss to Essendon.

I recall someone on here floating some free kick differential stats around over a number of years. I can't seem to find them. Can anyone recall who that was or on what post I can exhume them? Cheer cheer.

I haven't seen the game yet but people have told me we got some of the worse umpiring decisions/non decisions since ....... well we were reamed in the 2016 GF. Good to see Vic media actually saying it!
