Well, that was an innings and a half wasn't it! Smith's obsessive compulsiveness rivals Rafa I reckon, but hey, like with the great
Spaniard it's working. Report in the SMH today saying they are only expecting 16,000 or 17,000 tomorrow out at Giants Stadium.
The Giants/Magpies game there got almost 16,000 just two weeks ago. Not a good look for the code in Sydney if we can only get
an extra thousand or so into the ground than the damn Pies.

I considered going to Spotless but decided against it after seeing the side that’s playing.

They're not expecting a big crowd.
          Good.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

They are still asking a lot for tickets! I looked yesterday and cheapest avail able online were over $60.

We are not worried about their talls. They have only got Ruck, Simpson and Mumford, Forward Cameron, Finlayson, Himmelberg, Defence Davis, Haynes, Tomlinson, Oh and also Keeffe who they had to fit in on the wing. Their smalls Daniels and Hill probably both look up at Papley as a tall. Their mids Whitfield, Taranto, Hopper and Greene must be ordinary then but they are not. Can only think that GWS will be so over confident on the result that we can beat them. Not going to even record this game.

Love how the GWS CEO blames us for the expected small crowd. It's all our fault because Buddy's not playing and we're going crap.

Let's look at the actual incentives for GWS fans to get out and support their team:
                  - pushing for top 4 finish
                  - gun forward line with likely Coleman medal winner
                  - dynamic young midfield even without Coniglio and Ward
                  - good chance of flogging the arch rival, who has dished out some hidings in the club's early days

I would say the expected low crowd has more to do with GWS than us.

Absolutely. I'm not going because I refuse to put money into their purses. They get enough from the AFL as hand-outs without me contributing.
I don't know why we're copping the blame, though...

As per my previous post when they blatantly double tix prices just for this game people vote with their feet. No mention of that though.

We do show that we care... for the SYDNEY SWANS.
It's akin to giving money to collingwood.

The problem is that there aren't enough cheap seats, they were all sold out ages ago. The ones that are left have a pretty good viewpoint (wings) but the price is definitely off-putting.

The crowds at the SCG have held up remarkably well, given the on field performances and absence of key players for much of the season. I think we've shown the Southern States that we care.

Is that a reason not to see the Swans play at another venue?
