Parker lost a lot of one on ones. He just seems to have lost his fast reflex movement so I suspect an injury.
Hewitt got a pretty good amount of ball but we have to try and shutdown their best player don't we? I guess Clarke could have had a go but might be too short for Boak.
EDIT - I knew I should have checked it! Clarke is supposedly 1cm taller than Boak!Comment

Didn't get near the ball often. Didn't look totally out of place when he did. Almost kicked a running goal after a great give and go. And had a set shot for goal that fell short. It wasn't Stoddart-2019-like. He seemed to be OK with the pace of the game.Comment

Clarke was OK today I thought. Except for the 50M. McLean looks a bit done, I feel sorry for him.Comment

What's also true is that he has been the best option in there since we lost Sinclair. Was almost BOG against Essendon and gave us a number of clearances in the other games.Comment

Just watched Horse's press conference. I thought his performance was disappointing and his answers to the questions were at the best average.
Not an inspiring effort for a team that struggled badly today.Comment

As a general comment though, it just seems like we really struggle to get clean ball. It's always scrappy and pressured. If we could actually get the ball on the outside, we actually have the pace and skills (Ollie, Blakey, Dawson) to hurt the opposition.Comment

Just as an aside and with an eye to the future how good a player is Connor Rozee ? Taken with pick 5 last year. It’s going to be a novel experience for the Swans having an early pick and if we get a player as good as him I will be very happyComment

It's weird but not long ago JPK, Parker and Hanners were absolute guns and in the top midfielders in the comp. They are all so far from that now it isn't funny. The game looks to have completely gone past them.
Most worrying from today was the lack of anything to be excited about. Aside from an ok game by Florent, no young player had a good game or showed something that we can all jump on.
Strange coaching from Longmore. Our forward line looked short and he had McCartin playing back, Reid ruck and Blakey on a wing. Surely Melican and another ruckman (Amartey) change all that and straighten us up.
Bell needs another go and should be played on a wing to use that speed.Comment

When he was asked about Kieren Jack's future he said, pointedly, that Kizza has an opportunity to play only until the end of the year.
They asked him about ruckmen. When they suggested we had the right personnel within the club and just needed to get them fit, Horse was very quick to correct them.
I also get the sense he's pretty frustrated with our midfield getting smashed week in week out. I wonder if they'll change things around coaching-wise in the off-season?Comment

I thought it was an interesting presser. In particular:
