Matt Cameron, our head physiotherapist, has departed. Not sure why or where he's gone. More importanly, not sure who is replacing him. It's a very important role for the club. If anyone knows, please update.

Dennis Carroll has also gone - retired? Victim of pandemic downsizing? It seems the role has been replaced by Brett Kirk. Dennis was called our 'Executive General Manager - People', whereas Brett is called Head of Wellbeing and Development: see bottom of this https://www.sydneyswans.com.au/news/833576/mathews-returns-to-sydney. I suspect there is a lot of overlap in the roles and the different titles reflect their seniority and position in the hierarchy, as well as just social trends about job titles. There are probably also some differences in the specifics of what they are/were each responsible for based on their skills and interests and the club's needs.

A new start on the physio side might not be a bad thing given the way our injuries have been in recent seasons.

I don’t agree that any of your players listed are genuine guns. But they are good players who would happily be picked up by almost any other team.

Especially when you look at our recent trade and draft history. Trevor, the intern from marketing could have done a better job.

To say our recruiters are hopeless, however, is just wrong. Trading perhaps questionable (but even then, I’d say 2020 won’t have given supporters a genuine indication of where the guys we traded in are at, as they had no time in the the NEAFL to hone their skills and learn our gamestyle when they were given the opportunity to play).

I missed this article: Belinda Rowe joins Sydney Swans Board. Sam Mostyn has left us and been replaced by another female director, Belinda Rowe. In my view Sam is a big loss and Belinda has big shoes to fill. I would like to see us increase the representation of women on our board, especially as we launch our AFLW team. Also, Sam Mostyn was a bit less corporate than the other Directors (apart from ex-players) and brought in some high powered community and government experience which was invaluable. I'm glad Sam Mostyn will still have some involvement with the club but am sorry to see her go.

Recently we learned of another role at our club that I haven't heard about before: Indigenous Strategy and Player Development Manager Jarred Hodges.
