Though it's possibly not in the spirit of the restrictions, clubs could play in front of crowd of around 450 randomly drawn lucky members. And if the AFL wanted to get technical, they could argue, that in the 100,000 capacity MCG, if a crowd of around 5,000 were scattered evenly around the ground, none of them would be part of a large gathering.Comment

500 at Adelaide Oval, 250 each team, 50/50 support, I like it.
People told to sit no closer than say four seats apart.
Reckon the season will implode as soon as a player tests positive. Draft order based on 2019 finishing order, pick 4 for us :-)Comment

Or 2020 preseason 'table': pick one for us.Comment

Good point; though I'm not sure if Foxtel would come to the party? Perhaps a more likely move, would be for the AFL to give a free weekend pass, to all those who don't have an AFL app live pass? Though I don't have a clue how simple or difficult it would be, to make the necessary technical adjustments on the app?Comment

Great point.....we have to have access to games on TV. Having said that, it is going to be truly bizarre watching quiet AFL footy. Where's Alan McGilvray when you need him? Some creatively piped crowd effects may work.....

Just thinking of modern stadiums, I think most of them have plenty of corporate boxes/private boxes, that are more or less self contained. I wonder if the AFL are weighing up whether they can keep them open? On the one hand, a bit of revenue may be able to be generated and a few more casual staff could show up for work. On the other hand, many average punters could get very pissed off, if a heap of affluent folk got to go to the footy, while they were being locked out. Alternatively, some of those affluent people might already be pressuring the AFL, with an argument along the lines of, 'but we've already paid for the box, why can't we use it?'.Comment
