Go Swans! Really happy to win first up......in 'hostile' territory!

Hopefully it's a good highlights package later.....a long one (I don't have Foxtel).

      Great win!

I don't know that they should be playing, but it's given me and Stella Jr a sense of normality and happiness in all this weirdness this weekend.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

How much better do we look with Naismith in there?

Good win. Gotta be happy with that....

Lucky to hold on as we run out of gas towards the end, but a win is a win. And I liked some of what we saw in the middle two quarters. Naismith showed that he can play a very good role for us - just need to keep him fit!

Amazinf the difference a ruckman can make. Heeney is a forward.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

We need consistency in uncertain times. Rubbish umpiring it seems will not even be stopped by Corona

After the not 15 call against the Gray mark and the run down by Lloyd paid the wrong way and the 50 meters. A probable 2 goal turn around we didn't score a goal.

Lord, I’d forgotten what a good tap ruckman Naismith was.

Florent was terrific, McCartin covers the ground like a beast and while Taylor only did so much, thought Brand and Gray were really solid

Ok. I'll put my hand up and say the Crayfish made a big difference. More of a contest at the tap but a much better physical presence at stoppages than Sinclair. Aliir more than capable to give a chop out. Can't see where Sinclair fits in the team.

I was thinking about the umpiring, summarizing that the lack of home crowd should even things up.....but also thought our game will be a test to see if they simply don't like us. We won the count 21-18 but I suppose it can come down to where they're paid and in what situation. As I didn't watch, I can't judge but from what you said, it seems maybe they still don't like us.....

My comment wasn't so much that the umpiring wasn't one sided - more that they just pull some horrendous calls out of their butt, corona virus or no corona virus. When you see the replay of the Lloyd one (which did swing momentum) you'll see a perfect example of a poor call.

On broader themes, very good to see Naismith do a decent job, and it made a huge difference to our work in the clearances. Florent in particular looked buzzing in and around the ball, and Rowbottom/Kennedy did well. Heeney up forward did some great stuff. Brand and Gray (Despite his kicking) did a lot right, so some good signs there too. And McInerney showed some signs that his progress has continued over the summer.

Yes it was only Radelaide and they will finish in the bottom half a dozen imho, but not a bad run out - despite the strangeness of it all.

A new season and another heart failure game! I thought Tex was going to kick that.

Naismith has made a huge difference. Our midfielders Florent, Parker, Kennedy and Rowbottom loved him. I was really impressed with Florent.

One coaching negative is the use of Dawson. He needs to play further up the ground so we can utilise his accurate kicking.

I'm worried about Blakey. He can't seem to get into the games.

I think some umpires just like to make games 'dramatic' and get caught up in 'meddling' to create that drama. They're certainly not 100% impartial......ever.

It was a terrible call. Then to pay 50...

One hopes they have to replay and review it during the week. Would be hard to watch.
