My favourite ever "night" at the footy and I was also at the 96 Prelim.
I remember the Saints supporters were singing the song at 3/4 time because they thought they had it won. They were quiet for the last quarter ????.
My first year as a Swans member. Bought a Premiership Club membership or whatever it was called, on the off chance Swans might make the GF. And watched it at the Swans club in the Cross. One of the most exciting nights of my life.

I remember ringing my brother in Melbourne , cheering about the fabulous last quarter only to find that the game was on delayed telecast for them and he was only up to 3/4 time - spoilt the ending for him but certainly made him keener to watch the last quarter.
