Richmond seem to be of the belief that he plays better when angry, so the niggle from him, is probably a deliberate tactic. Which I think might work in the short term, but will come unstuck in the long term, with escalating violence, increased suspensions and a tattered reputation.

Richmond have really diminished in my estimation this year, for a number of reasons.

mmm.... that's a common party line from clubs when making excuses for their "on the edge" players. It's often accompanied with a statement
about how player X is the nicest human being to have ever lived off the field. Soon we'll be hearing from the Richmond Football Club Virtue
Signalling Dept about how he is working on a vaccine for Covid-19.

A bit late but here is an article from Jude Bolton about the HTB rule: https://www.espn.com/afl/story/_/id/29506619/why-holding-ball-rule-spirit-game.

its been a horror year for their image this year. It was all probably hidden from view when they were in the melbourne bubble.

This is a bit of an over the top & nasty response from Hardwick to David Schwartz criticism of Tom Lynch. Most of his response was ok in defending his player, but his last statement was uncalled for. Would never see John Longmire respond with such spite.

Nasty streak as a player. Nasty whinging streak as a coach. Not helping his club

Never been a fan of Hardwick. He keeps demonstrating what a nasty person he is. That comment was a low blow.
