This is the kind of performance we can expect from a young side - good patches showing their potential, combined with some shockers like the Fremantle game.

Sydney being Melbourne's "bogey side" got a mention during the second quarter on the ABC commentary. Seasons this century when we've not beaten Melbourne: 2011 (draw, 1 game away), 2010 (1 game away), 2001 (2 games). Our record against Melbourne this century: 19W, 1D, 7L.

Excellent quarter, not only did we keep Melbourne goal less, but we also looked crisp in attack. Nice seeing Blakey and Dawson get plenty of the ball: both look very dangerous. McInerney might have earned himself a new contract. Hoping for a Papley bag in the second half.

My app has a little medical symbol next to Papley's name......any info on an injury anyone?
Think he's fine. May have been balls landing on ball, in a tackle?

Wow thats a bloody good record. Even though Melbourne have mostly been crap but they did play in a Grand Final I watched in NYC at about 4AM.

the bloke playing no 8 for the dees Looks a dead ringer for Blakey from “on the Buses”

The reaction by Longmire after the mark was taken off Blakey was exactly what I did!! I may have said a few more expletives ????. The replay showed the free was there.

I am bemused. Why wouldn't Hayward have a shot for goal. Dumb footy.

They got a few lucky frees there - especially when we had it forward.

We need 2 goals to win.

I think the wind would have made it very tough blowing to left of screen.

I reckon he is having a good game. Florent's the one having a howler.

Smart quarter, it looks like the breeze is a real factor and we slowed the footy to mitigate the advantage. Fingers crossed for next quarter.

Kept them to one goal that quarter....and with the wind in the last, we should go on and win this. 30 minutes of slog Swans! Come on!

Agree that Florent is the main concern from our young brigade lately.
