    Papley Pick #3 Gulden

Not sure if Rampe will be too old.

Don't think we'll win relying on Hayward and Reid in the forward line.

I like Preuss as a footballer, but looks like a bit of a douche. I don't see any getable ruckman that could fill that spot.

To summarise, the big holes to be filled are premiership standard - FF, CHF, #1 Ruck and big bodied midfielder to replace Kennedy... and lockdown small defender. I'm hopeful that Ling will fill that role, but yet to be proven - that's a long and expensive shopping list.

The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

I found it very difficult predicting the names of the Swans players in 2038, but these came out of my crystal ball.

                  Blind optimism.

I have only 3 or 4 on this current list being around for our next premiership. The rest are great players who will have moved on from the game, or traded out discards we realised weren't good enough. Rebuild is nowhere near the sure thing many think it is.

                    Close Barry.

SOD (Son of Derickx) will be drafted from a special NGA zone granted to the Swans by the AFL in lieu of COLA. Tom was deemed to come from another planet, hence his children would become NGAs. BTW, the cost of living in Sydney will be 127% higher than Melboune in 2038 and even though coronavirus will be gone by then, everyone will be self-isolating because it's way too expensive to leave home.

While you sit at the other end with utter blind pessimism.

I guess it ying and yang, but I know which makes supporting a football team relatively more enjoyable, though I don't advocate pure blind optimism. But I like to give players a chance to show one way or the other before writing them off completely.
