Yes, looks dangerous every time he goes near it. Hope we can give him good supply in the second half.

In that half, we won every stat except, yep, you guessed it; free kicks, which the Demons are winning 12-5. Which I think is a result of the umpires not paying holding the ball/illegal disposal, but instead, paying hanging on in the tackle, too high, etc.

A number of players played well in the televised second quarter. McDonald was strong overhead, threatening on the lead and did a lovely job of hitting a breaking Grey, for our final goal. I liked Lewis Taylor in the middle. He's been weaving through the traffic nicely, hitting targets and avoiding clangers. Bell has put the opposition mids under plenty of pressure. O'Riordan has been leading a defence that's generally been on top. Except for a costly slip near the sticks, Carruthers had a really good quarter.

Casey is the reserves team for the previously unbeaten Melbourne so our boys are playing a strong Casey with many senior players including Brett Brown, Nathan Jones. So good effort by our boys so far. Crisp passing, strong marks and good teamwork so far in first half. Hope it keeps going.

Similar 3rd Q experience as the seniors. Casey 8.7-55 leading Swans 5.8-38. They marked and tackled harder .

Casey 56 to Swans 38. Looking the better side but the Swans forward system is woeful.

I have seen at least 10 Melbourne free kicks, I have yet to see a Swans free kick.

I thought Bell was probably our best in that quarter. O'Riordan, Taylor and Gray all good. Possibly the main difference was the Demons crumbed the ball much better in the forward 50. Not sure why we're persisting with Collis: nothing good happens when he gets the ball.

Sorry deja, I respectfully disagree with your assessment of Bell. I have been specifically watching him and even though he tries really hard he is fumble, misses tackles, misses targets and if he is the quickest player I am yet to see this speed. In saying this he has a lot of other teammates who don't show much.
