Half time.
Top possession getters:
Lloyd 18 (8 k, 10 h)
Mills 16 (8 k, 8 h)
Rowbottom 15 (5 k, 10 h)
Hickey 13 (6 k, 7 h)
Parker 13 (6 k, 7 h)
Rich (BL) 13 (12 k, 1 h)
I hope we're not overusing the ball by hand here. (Edit: Rich is a standout for kicks, other Lions are more balanced kicks vs handpasses)"Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi finalComment

How good is Gulden! New favourite!
Loving all the new boys.
Papley needs to get involved for us to win, hasn’t done much.
Would love Hewett to play more positive footy and look to go forward with his first instinct rather than backwards.
Mills looks good in the middle.Comment

I'd like to see Parker and Kennedy do a bit more but really, that has exceeded expectations so far for me.
Gulden very poised - poised is important at his age shows he should make it. Hickey pretty good.Comment

That first 10 minutes from Gulden was something else... What a first goal in AFL footy that was.
The impact of momentum swings are so much enhanced this season so far. Will be interesting how well teams can develop ways to improve their ability to stem the flow.
Even though I expect Brisbane to be too good in the second half, already taken an enormous amount of this game already....I think we will really enjoy watching this team develop this year."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Fantastic. This is why we’ll be fine in good time.
All the youngsters have been superb, but Gulden looks to have a lot of assets, but a particularly high footy IQ.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

Before the game I would have been very happy for the scores to be level at halftime but I'm a bit disappointed after we had that 4 goal lead. We struggled to get our hands on the ball for a period but I'm happy we stopped the flow at the end. I hope we don't run out of legs in the second half.
How exciting was the first half of the second quarter? I have to compliment our skills tonight because that's something I've been critical of in recent years.
Was Daniher always so unlikable? Maybe I've forgotten because he has been injured for so long.Comment

While we got the centre clearances we looked a million dollars. Then that turned around, Neale got his hands on it and the game swung back. When we got the ball in quickly our small forwards monstered the footy. If we can break even in centre clearances in the 2nd half we can be right in it. Couple of bounces of the ball went their way, but then again they lifted their pressure around the footy.

Very very happy with that 1st half. Imo we should be infront but for poor goal kicking. Lions also had atleast 2 lucky goals. Center bounces are hit and miss for us. We need to be more consistent in winning and slowing down opposition center bounce clearances.
Our general play and ball movement has been first class.
Gulden omg!!! Wicks omg!!!Comment
