Great reponse after another turgid start. Maclean was great. Papley and Heeney played well. Hickey and Wicks both had four quarter contributions. He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.Comment

This suggests a new nickname for McLean: "Hands".
McLean's breakout season, for sure. Will we have room for two Macs in the forward line after Franklin and Reid retire?"Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi finalComment

That was a seriously good game by McLean. Given Reid is probably out for a while and McDonald will be up and down being so young, there’s a great opportunity for him.
The amount of contests he got to, his marking, his tackling . . . all terrific. And I reckon he’d be a coach’s dream. Loved it.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

[QUOTE=dejavoodoo44;818007]He's becoming a favourite of mine. Often seems to take marks near the goals, but at the same time, he often tops the team for distance run, according to the tracker. Often kicks straight, as well.

Impressive that he covered 16 km the next best was 14.5 km huge tank obviouslyComment

Good effort to up the pressure and nullify Collingwood after quarter time. It must have been excruciating viewing for Pies fans. 1-10 over the final three quarters, might have had them wanting to poke themselves in the eyes with knitting needles.Comment

18 disposals, nine marks and 6 tackles......great effort. Improving with every chance he gets. Logan must be thinking 'I have to really impress to get back' and that leads to a better list overall. Yes, and I think that he's becoming more dangerous, as his team mates are realising that with that running, he's often getting himself in good positions. Although I suspect that a fair bit of his running, would have the main purpose of making space for other forwards.Comment

I thought McLean was superb in the second half. He has pretty decent hands, great work rate and a decent tackle too.
He is never going to be a superstar but he plays a role and was important today, and always gives a good effort and contest.
Took us some time to grind into it after a poor first quarter, but it was a decent performance after that in such windy conditions. Not a game for the highlights reel of the season but job done and 4 points banked."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment
