Six weeks without any football in your first year of AFL? He should come back via the twos.

Hi Mark, that would be great wouldn't it? It might happen, i'm not privy to the information the Swans medical staff are! Young Errol could 'do a Hickey' and be right to go ahead of schedule! How fantastic!!

Logic though tells me that the medical staff will be conservative with him. They have been very careful with the young swans this year, they are a key part of the team we would be taking into a final if we get there! Errol's missed six weeks of footy as bandwagon pointed out. Is only 18, will probably need a VFL game or two to get match fitness back into him! I am expecting to see him back out there in 2 weeks, and young Campbell in a month or so! Exciting if that can happen!!

Guess I was caught up in the dazzling light of Hickey's supernatural recovery powers. You never know about Gulden. He could be drinking from our big man's Gatorade bottle and surprise us all. Regardless, it's clear that this is Hickey's universe, and we are all living in it.

It's taken 10 rounds for him to get his groove back... had a bit of trouble holding a mark for a while there.
Our team is far too buddy centric for my liking anyway... sure, he draws in four defenders, which leaves three of our forwards more or less free.
Kick it to someone else. Winning is more important than buddy kicking 1000 goals.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Maybe if we kicked to other free players thatn Buddy would not have four defender on him and then get to the magical 1000

Players up the ground are too Buddy focused and keep playing to him even when he has 2-3 hanging off him. Surely the other forwards could then lead into space to receive. But no, they keep going to Buddy and put him under a lot of pressure and causing a turnover. Is this a coaching issue? Surely players have enough footy smarts to realise and weigh up the situation and look for other options in the forward line. But a problem is that too often the forwards have retraced to defend and so the opposition backs are on their own and easily outnumber us. I’m afraid we are still flooding back, which leads to a lot of congestion and frustrating play.

Keep the forwards where they belong and we might just post a winning score!

Looks like Port will be without Robbie Gray next week.

Have the Swans evacuated all there Waverley local council area based players to Adelaide as yet?

May get caught if other states follow Qld.

If that happens would the Swans have to pick a team of players based outside the Waverley local area? That occurrence could get Gould his much anticipated debut.

If that’s the case it may get me a debut

The Swans recruit too many of the same type of players. Small to medium height midfield/half forward types who cant kick accurately and are played as defenders. These players are consistently out marked, out bodied and caught out of position. A tall strong centre half back, a decent knock ruckman to back up Hickey and who knows. Although the poor kicking has existed at Sydney for the past 10 years, so I don't expect any changes there.

Yes over the last decade our kicking has been averag.e It is interesting that is the case as we have been successful in that time but the Buckenara years when we couldnt buy a win we had quite a few very good kicks

Things are coming good again , Gulden, Jmac, Chad, Campbell, Dawson , McDonald etc are great kicks and best part is they are in defence midfield and forward so we're covered all over the ground for good kicks . Have faith. It will be a great team to watch in the future

It seems to have disappeared! In fairness, we had all our young players in the early rounds bringing a lot of energy and enthusiasm, but unfortunately this didn’t last long as they got injured or needed resting.

I still think our MC get selections wrong, as you didn’t need to be Ludwig to know that Brand would be needed against the Dawks. In fact, he is needed in every game unless Pelican can come in. I for one would play both as every other team seems to have 3 talls up forward.

For sheer height, I would also like to include McLean, as I think he is a good mark and has potential to replace Reid down the track. Not sure how to fit him in though. Any thoughts?

We have definitely been too short in defence, but the MC has been reluctant to play Brand on the taller players. When we played Carlton he was nowhere near McKay even though he was beating McCartin.

FWDs wise, we have Buddy, Logan, Joel, Sam and Hayden. And can play three, one of whom is second ruck.

I’d like to see Amartey given the second ruck role for the rest of the year and the other 4 rotated, given none of them will be able to play every game.

I think Brand was playing on Casboult, who was ineffective. So Brand must have been doing a pretty good job with that matchup. I can understand why we didn't want to change it. At least we kept one of their talls under control.
