We have to get out of the habit of holding the oppo's guernsey at the wrong time - it's a favourite whistle for any ump.

And see if we can hold a wet ball as well as Port seems to do.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Good game of footy thus far. We just need to do more with our inside 50s and we could go on and win this.

As always, umpiring as inconsistent and baffling - some very soft free kicks both ways so far, with Dixon being a prime benficiary in that quarter.

Lovely to have Errol back - that boot is sweet when he hits it well.

Jmac goes inside and gets a slick clearance with his first touch

I want to know why Powell-Pepper always looks like a world beater against us?
He is a really strong Bull Mid. Our mids? do not play that much bull haha. Seriously he is far too strong. If Chad was playing he would be a perfect match up

Agree. It has become a shambles. What's equally annoying is that the commentators never criticise the most blatant mistakes. Too scared to damage the 'brand'. Some of the frees are farcical. Dropping the ball a thing of the past or they'll suddenly pay one from nowhere. Revamp of rules and interpretations at season's end should be mandatory.

I agree there. The soft frees for holding but if you throw,? Rosie every time he gets the ball, it's OK. @@@@ me!

The throw rule is broken - every 3rd player now does it almost at will and gets away with it.

Unfortunately it feels likw the floodgates may be about to open

So three minutes into the second half and already at least 3 free kicks...make it four...one a minute...totally awful umpiring.

And we look like we're tired Can't see us winning this one.

That's what's lead to this situation.....too much tinkering! I know what you mean though.....

This game is at Kardinia Park? I'm listening on the radio and the cheering for Port seems much louder.

"Messy football from the Swans" according to the ABC commentators.....and a Port goal. Come on boys......strike back.
