Were you one of those writing Amartey off in the last 12 months ….I’m happy with Bell’s progress amd you only have to take
a look at some of the encouragement from the other players for some of his efforts during the game …I’ll back him to develop like Amartey in his own time amd what you’ll see in a few years will surprise I think ..as for some of the reserves ahead of him …I don’t see any ..Sheather is looking good and Chad and Rowy were out but he’s way ahead of any one in the seconds im his role
    Thanks JK!

I think we're too quick to jump on younger players who might require time to adjust to the level required to perform each week in the firsts. Every player will be given certain roles they need to stick to & as we're not privy to what those instructions might be (although we can take a good guess), we just have to trust that a player has the support of the coaching/selection panels if they continue to get picked. BTW, i'm not saying that players shouldn't be dropped if they're not performing, but let's just have a little bit of faith & give 'em a chance.

I agree that Hickey has been the difference in our 2021 team. Love his contest in the centre and around the ground. He has been the driving force in most of our games. It was so noticeable on Sunday how our centre clearances were through the roof, even if Hickey didn't get the tap. He contests and goes after the ball, even on one occasion sprinted from the centre square to the half forward to take a mark and played on to create a goal. A real difference maker for us

Hi Captain, it was a few posts referencing past and present world leaders! I guess the pandemic has made us all in touch with world affairs lately

Just to be on topic .. I reckon the LIZARD was unlucky not to poll a coaches vote for his performance on Sunday and join that list above ^^! Loved his game!!

I thought this game was very reminiscent of the Swans-GWS at Perth Stadium last year. The personnel was slightly different ( Dylan Stephens had a good game) but the flow and freedom of our play was resonant.

Yes, I went out for awhile and returned to find a thread of deleted posts, including my reply. The original post was slightly political. Just shows how one silly post can lead to mayhem!

This week’s votes were such an interesting set of votes trying to work out who gave whom votes
I for one wouldn’t have predicted a four voter for Heeney..did Longmire see a lot of work he put in before the flashes of brilliance at the end
Mills and Florent were consistent for both coaches
I can’t actually decide who gave Heeney the four as the other coach didn’t give any to Heeney
Was it Longmire for pressure and effort and brilliance toward the end or was it Simpson for something he saw but only one coach went all in on Heeney
I also can’t pick which coach chose the 2 and 1 votes ..id lean toward 2 and 1 for McInerney and Hewett from Longmire
                    What do people think ?

I reckon Longmire would have given 4 to Ollie and three to Hickey and Simpson has given Ollie 3 and Heeney the 4.....that's my guess. I also think your pretty on the mark with your 2's and 1's.
