This quarter alone, a clear HTB in possession before Dunkley goal should have been paid against Dogs, and then a clear 50 should have been paid against Weightman for infringing in the area around the mark that would have walked the Crows to 25m out. Just rotten
Round 6: the other games. ANZAC round.

Go Nicksy! (The other ex Swan is still a dirty rat).
Suck on that Dogs. Suck on that umpires. Suck on that Melbourne media mafia who all said the Dogs were about to go on a six game winning streak.
That’s also a big result for us and top four.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

Perhaps it's time to ask Beveridge about it at his upcoming press conference? In an interview on SEN, Weightman says receiving free kicks is part of a “skillset” that he looks to develop. He said “I think I do have an ability to draw free kicks and I think that’s a skillset rather than a flop or whatever you call that because there are skills you can do …" May be they have a good "coach" to teach these skills. That's why the Dogs are so good at getting free kicks.Comment

Bontempelli kicked the last goal and there was 7 seconds left when the umpire bounced the ball to re-start the game. The bounce was a poor one so the umpire decided to cancel the bounce and throw the ball up instead. When he threw it up, there was 5 seconds on the clock so the Poodles effectively lost 2 seconds of game time.Comment

Hardly cancels out the 14 free kick advantage.

Is it normal practice to throw the ball up when there is a close game and only a few seconds left? Nope. The ump did the right thing. The Dogs had plenty of time (and help) to secure a win and simply could't get it done. And it's not just that the Poodles regularly win free kick counts, they win them by huge margins!!
Round 1 Poodles 30 Demons 17
Round 3 Poodles 31 SWANNIES 14
Round 4 Poodles 25 Tigers 15
Round 6 Poodles 24 Crows 10
They drew the free kick count in Round 2 and lost it by 6 in round 5.Comment
