If you haven’t already thrown money on Mills for the Brownlow, get into it. He’s just great.

Parker was terrific. That play on the wing when he tackled and stripped a bloke of the ball, got down and dirty to reclaim it, fed it out and Chad went on to kick his bomb summed it up. Chad lifted after some bad clangers early. Rowbottom’s head was down in the dirt and tackled like a beast. Gulden and Blakey fixed our field kicking woes.

Two other big blokes deserve a bit tick.

Ladhams was just superb, both at the tap and did some good things around the ground. As he works out our style of play, he’ll be even better. And McLean’s willingness to work to marking contests and stand under the high ball in big packs was excellent.

Some things to remedy (our field kicking into half forward was poo the first three quarters) and the concussions to Paddy and Logan suck.

But to be able to lift like that was very good.

I just checked the Brownlow odds. It surprised me that Mills was listed at $17. He should be shorter than that. And probably will be after that performance.

Kennedy for Brownlow! But in all seriousness he was great in the final quarter, but man, mills what a star. Rowbottom and Warner came good. Worried about our tall stocks now. Gould to debut next week? Hope paddy bounces back. The hawks fan who was clapping like a seal all game was suddenly very quiet

Thought we had a very good run with the umpires today too.
He ate more cheese, than time allowed

            Agree with all that.
Don't know where our skills went in the first half, but our kicking was as crap as the brown on the Hawthorn jumper.

Didn’t see the game - but sounded like a very slow start. Like Winx storming home from last place at the final turn?

Re. Kennedy, I thought he might have been a starter in this game as it was likely gonna be a scrap.

"THE AFL has on Thursday released its updated 2021 AFL/AFLW Concussion Guidelines, which will see players sidelined for at least 12 days if they suffer a concussion. The minimum 12-day return to play protocol is a substantive increase on the previous six days required under the 2020 guidelines.

                28 Jan 2022"

So that means McDonald and Paddy must both be replaced for the game vs Brisbane even if both have recovered.

One of the more bizarre wins I have seen.

Mills of course was brilliant. Parker too.

I really liked the games of Gulden and Ladhams who really got us back in the game. Ladhams was terrible the first quarter but his last 3 quarters were All Australian stuff.

JPK turned back the clock. Love it.

Bell shouldn’t play another game again. Soft and unskillful. Is allergic to tackling.

It took us a long time to get going, but that quarter was impressive stuff. One way traffic finally and took our chances.

We have a lot of work to do if course and our slow starts are not pretty at all, but if we can make it click later in the year we can challenge most teams.

And always great to beat the Hawks..... Plenty of their Tassie folk left pretty much as soon as we hit the front.

And as others have said Mills must be a massive chance in the Brownlow if his form continues.

If you can't tackle, you can't really play as a pressure forward. James Bell's place has to be in jeopardy

We have 2 lots of 6 day breaks in a row so does that mean they're going to both missed two games

Think they’re allowed play on the 12th day after their concussion, so depending on how they pull up, would be eligible for the Suns game.

Hate to slag on a swans player, especially after a great comeback win, but man, who is picking him?? He's shown time and time again he's just not up to it. Not sure why he's being picked??
