    New gun player??

Before the start of the season Roos was already talking about trading details for the next season.

He stated that we had invested in youth over the past two season and it was time to go after a gun midfielder or Key position player.

Is this just political to ensure that the supporters are informed of the upcoming moves eg. trading the 1st round pick plus a player? Because in the past the media have been critical of us trading and recruiting recycled players.
"my appoinion is that some of our best have come from this area eg Hall, Williams, Schuable, Bolton"

or have the Swans got some targets in mind?

At the start of the season people were saying that we needed a CHB and that it was asking too much of B2 to stand some of the CHFs.
The problem is that genuine CHBs and FBs are perhaps the rarest breed in the AFL at present. We might have found the solution to our problems in Heath James, who could make a fine CHB with Schaubs at FB. And there continues to be speculation about LRT at CHB.
But it's an area that still needs attention, simply because other clubs have the same problem and the KP defender is a relatively scarce resource.
My feeling is that we don't have the same problem with midfielders, but if we got the chance of a good one, we might trade draft picks.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
