He is overpaid, but he is still a really good player. If Kelly had wanted to come to us for about 2/3 of the mill a year he is
getting at the Giants, we'd have taken him in a heartbeat. $8 million for 8 years. There is only one thing to say to that
kind of offer. Good on him.
Whilst on GWS, congrats to Callan Ward (my favourite non Swans player) for being the first player to play 200 games at
the Giants. A class act.

Totally agree regarding Callan Ward he is the epitome of a class act the Giants should have made him sole captain rather than trying to appease he other recruits they took on board at that time .No disrespect to Phil Davis who was a quality get but Callan was a franchise player at the time and I think diluting the leadership role didn’t help build a genuine team ethos.

We all support a team that, with the exception of a 2017-18 when JPK held the role solo, has had multiple captains since midway through 2005 when Maxfield went down injured. In that time we've reached five grand finals and qualified for the finals for a large majority of those seasons.

So I'm intrigued why you think the number of captains a club has influences the building of a team ethos.

Smith's headbutt occurred when both players were grappling with each other front on, with aggro push and shove from each side. Still inexcusable.

The HF hit was from the behind/side against a player who was not engaging in a tussle. So I think HF hit is worse.
