Chad’s hair is probably the biggest concern. If he wants to become an elite player I think he may need to pay someone to sort it out.

The Lizard always looks like he has come to clean zee pool.

Even without Smith the Dogs have some of the worst hair going around. I like to think they lost Friday night in the salon as well as on the ground
    Funny stuff.

Indeed. Stephens covered a bucket of territory.

If you go back a minute before his goal at the start of the second quarter, he was tracking back on the defensive wing, as the Dogs went down the O’Reilly stand side. The Dogs got through with and The Bont squared it to just past the top of the square. Dylan dropped back in the hole, got a fingertip to it and stopped a certain mark to Naughton. In the scramble that follow he was literally positioned next to the behind post.

We make our way down the other end of the field and up pops Dylan for his own goal.
'Delicious' is a fun word to say

As expected, the AFL site has reported that Papley has no case to answer.
"It was determined by the MRO that Papley was contesting the ball and it was reasonable for Papley to contest the ball in that way. No further action was taken."

Not sure where to post this, but I went down the why the heck do the Swans play Sweet Caroline at quarter time rabbit hole. And I think I have some answers!

I thought Chad's hair looked the best last night it has for ages - maybe for as long as he's been at the club. Still undeniably Chad, but quite neat and not ratty.

(His post game interview is a great opportunity for Chad Hair Assessment. And worth watching regardless - a lovely, cheekily happy but still articulate interview.)

Not necesscelery. GC just staged an amazing comeback win after the siren to beat the Tigers. Brown-baggers no certainty to win in the west tomorrow.

Pity Norf couldn’t hold on - but gave the Pies a scare.

Agree. Last week the radio was calling him Gulden. This week I thought it was O'Riordan until I remembered he wasn't playing!

Swans got Freo, Crows, Giants, North, Pies, Saints.

You’d expect us to win a minimum of 3 against Crows, Giants and North. Which would mean finals

But if we can beat Freo and get on a roll we could win all of them. And be right in the mix as a contender.

It’s basically season on the line from here on in. If we can bring the intensity and insane pressure from last night I reckon we can beat anyone.

Buckle up for the red and white ride!

I must say I hate talk of wins before we’ve earned them. We could win next week and easily drop 1 or more of those ‘expected’ wins. Our up & down form suggests this is more than just possible.

One week at a time please.

I think we have the opportunity to get on a roll and really make an impression in September, or stuff things up and miss out.

I’m not trying to get ahead of myself, but I’m excited by the opportunity if we are good enough to take it.

Yeah, I know … of course anything can happen (& there’s always unexpected results that throw things up in the air at this time of the year). My preference is to call on the old cliché and just think about the next game.

We were in pretty good form towards the end of the season last year & we were all talking about top 4. Then we had a shocker v Saints and blew it. Also nearly lost to last placed north and Fizzled out in the first final.

There can be Such a fine line between contender and pretenders.
