Geez I can still remember the disappointment I had when we drafted Ollie Florent while Jy Simpkin (who I wanted us to draft) was still on the board. He was taken the very next pick by North Melbourne... While I still feel Ollie has been a good solid player for us, he's not in the same league as Simpkin. Another what could have been story! Lol.

I don't love that the Tigers losing is giving the Bulldogs a better chance of making it. My hatred of them is blinding me to want the Tigers to win this! Lol.

Collingwood's streak is not as impressive as it sounds when it is mostly close wins against sides outside the top eight. Their only good wins were a 26-point win against Melbourne and a 36-point win against Fremantle.

Their streak: Fremantle 36 (A), Carlton 4 (H), Hawthorn 4 (A), Melbourne 26 (A), bye, GWS 11 (H), Gold Coast 5 (A), North Melbourne 7 (H), Adelaide 5 (A). Aside from solid wins against Fremantle and Melbourne and a narrow win against Carlton, the other five wins are all against sides outside the top eight by a combined margin of 32 points.

Their remaining games: Essendon (H), Port Adelaide (H), Melbourne (A), Sydney (A), Carlton (A). They won't win all of those games. Essendon has hit some good form, Port Adelaide have been winning regularly, and the other three sides are all in the top eight.

Yep. Bloody Pies. I think they are now 7-1 this year when the margin has been < 2 goals. 4-0 when less than 1 goal.

I am also enjoying North Melbourne's match against Richmond. North are up by 32 points at half time, mostly due to North's much more accurate kicking than Richmond (10.2 to 3.12).

Disappointing result in Crows v Pies.

As a slight aside, I’ve now entered into a bet with a Pies supporter in which the loser of our 8 point August 14 smack down has to wear the other teams kit for a day.
For your sake.....and sanity, I'll pray hard for a Swans win!

Totally agree. They’re vulnerable - but those 3 wins are gold no matter where/how they come. Their wins are in the bank and we’re in a more dangerous place (unless we can win in the West)

Also shows that our games vs Norf and Adelaide are no gimmes (even GWS — who’ve looked terrible of late — can lift against us).

                          They’re gone, it appears.

                          …unless tigers keep missing!
