All day the underdogs have been tantalising us with the prospect of unlikely victories. And now we see the least likely of them all.

The Tigers totally blew it, but terrific effort North!

Simpkin is a star indeed. Worth remembering most draft boards had him no1 coming into his draft year before he broke his leg.

Right now, you’d probably only have McClugage ahead of him

Richmond starting to look a reasonable chance to finish the season in ninth.

Even if their list isn't quite what some in the media seem to believe, it's not as bad as their results this year suggest. It's not just the win/loss record, but the fact they've rarely been competitive in matches against anyone other than the cellar dwellers.

Much as I'd hate to lose him from the Swans, Don Pyke would probably be a good get for them. He'd be able to get their ball movement working better than it is now. They have the personnel with the kicking skills.

His best is superb but he hasn't produced it that often in the last couple of seasons.

It's an even-numbered year, there's every chance they will do that.

                      Fun facts:
                      * Every time Richmond has finished ninth, it has been in an even-numbered year (1908, 1912, 1952, 1964, 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2006, 2008).
                      * Richmond has finished just out of the finals in even-numbered years all but once (1965 is the only odd-numbered year).
                      * Richmond is the only side that has never finished a round in 17th or 18th place.

It is certainly up there. If my sums are correct, it's the 6th all-time highest total tackles after:

                        2010 Round 10 Port Adelaide (116) vs Richmond (142) = 258
                        2016 Round 11 Gold Coast (119) vs Sydney (135) = 254
                        2016 Round 13 Sydney (155) vs Melbourne (89) = 244
                        2017 Round 9 Geelong (134) vs Western Bulldogs (104) = 238
                        2015 Round 14 Fremantle (114) vs Brisbane Lions (121) = 235

Suns copping the regular Victorian/non-Victorian umpiring. Frees 19-7 at half time. Essendon are playing well though.

Yes, didn’t see that coming. Where have the last few weeks come from? We’d better be up for that game.

Didn’t really want either side to win in Alice. Maybe a draw would have been a good result?

Pies scrape home again by the skin of their teeth (assuming they have them).

I wonder when a mullet was last seen, accepting the trophy at a golf major? Assuming that a mulletted golfer has previously won a golf major?
