Firstly… ‘cos i still have a soft spot for JD. Looks so mild-mannered but those tackles he lays must hurt. I still like watching him play (just not against the Swannies).

I really dislike the singling out of players & the booing of TG is a bad look given how much we know that behaviour can have on the mental health of a player. (I know this is a really poor comparison, but that’s how I feel – leave that rubbish for the crowds at gmhba, Optus etc. - it’s horrible). He’s a knob, but he’s a star.

Errol fantastic , wouldnt have minded him winning it , great recognition for a young fella . Chad so important in our ball movement , Blakey also . Jmac better today , some wanted him out . Paps brilliant , Heeney strong but can be better , needs to kick straighter . Mills is the heart and soul leader of this team .

Bud got beat By Taylor . Junktime goals dont count , still a star player but was beat today . Props to the young fella, he will be a star defender . We dont need him we have the MCCARTINS . Especially Paddy . What a pick up . I'm up and about after that - love beating those orange turds !
Why do you say "Some have forgotten' Parker?

Who, and where do you get that weird take from?

This way, TheBloods isn't coerced into making comments that he doesn't believe in but still has another 45 odd players on the list to talk about, and everyone else can talk about Rowbottom, however they see fit (within obvious reason).

I did make a request for people to stop baiting in last week's matchday thread, but now I'm being more explicit. Let's all enjoy RWO and cut the Rowbottom argy bargy out.

Ditto. If he flattened one of ours behind play, then yes, give it to him. But otherwise booing individuals is poor form, and after what we saw with Goodesie, we know how damaging it can be. Everyone is just trying to do their best for their team.

In the other games thread I made comment on GWS as a club going forward, I was wondering if there many GWS supporters at the ground yesterday. It's hard to tell from the telly, could only see a couple of goofballs holding orange flags.

I think the excelled forms of Reid, Hayward and Chad is a major reason we have risen from a top 8 a top 4 contender, particularly since Essendongate. Clarke's lockdown roles can't also be underestimated. This is reflected in the side being very settled with little or no team changes, giving impression this is perhaps our finals blueprint team along with Ladhams, McDonald, Cunningham and Joey at the ready.

If Jmac can re-discover his mojo which he showed signs of yesterday, it will add an even more exciting dimension to our play!

We appear to have started peaking at the pointy end of the season, which I must admit I was worried we'd might fighing just to scrape into the top 8 4 weeks ago. Hope we maintain this rage and do not drop our guard, as anything is possible in this even season.

Edit: I forgot to mention Robbie Fox, who since his inclusion has helped solidify our defence further. The cunning Fox and slithering Lizard defending our backline, with a Joey in the pouch and a Horse guiding the Swans. David Attenborough should be employed as special commentary!

I think a lot of our players are simply in better form now than they were earlier in the season. Paps was ordinary in his first month back but is now considered one of the best in the comp. Rampe looked to be sliding but is working so well with the Iron McCartin and Robbie Fox. Hayward is in career best form. Gulden has taken another step up. The Chad is special. Rowbottom is confident in his role pressuring, tackling, while also getting the ball 10% more. Stephens was struggling the the VFL but has found some confidence and grit in the current team. Lloyd has been super consistent lately whereas he was slightly down earlier in the year. I could probably list another 5 players whose rating have improved in the last third of the year.

I guess the accusation here is re. the complete omission of said player from the comment. Probably fair enough.

But Parker did deserve BOG. Then again, so did a few others. EG was brilliant. Possibly his best to date? As for RB, another standout game. Was definitely amongst the top few. I had a birdseye view of some of those tackles and it was special. Gets better every week. Keep working on the disposals (at times) and keep building strength to break some tackles himself and could be elite.

If there were a couple of hundred Giant supporters there I would be surprised. A very poor turnout by them. Its hard to fathom what is happening at that club with coach sacked, players talking of leaving and salary cap issues.

A manufactured club with very little support in Sydney - If they have 30,000 members I am unsure of where they are - they don't go to games.

I would argue that Rowbottoms pressure is actually the barometer for the Swans playing well.

This year, when Rowbottom lays more than 5 tackles we are 10-0.

When he lays 5 or less, we are 2-6

                            Should move them to Canberra.

I feel there’s been a change in mindset since the loss to the Bombers. Just feels like we are switched on every game and the duration of our lapses is shortening.

I’m comforted that the Crows beat Carlton after their strong showing against us after the first quarter.

The players seem to be relishing the more physical game we are playing too.
