Will was awesome, he’s a fine example of watching the ball onto the boot even when snapping it in traffic.

Love Hanners. So glad he bought his best today.

As for us, not our best today, but we finished third. Just brilliant. So so good.

Hanners through and through. Quality footballer and great scenes at the end for him too!

Well done lads. It’s easy to want more but 3rd position is an amazing effort and gives us a real shot.

Great to see Hanners for one last time play some good footy. I wore your guernsey number for years. A true blood. I hope you have at least four kids who can become father/daughters.

                  SWANNIES!!!

Who would've thought we'd get the double chance after that shocker against Essendon?

                    +1

Great to see Joey chair off Hanners too.

I left and walked away from all media at about the 20 minute mark of the last....it was too much for me. I went and cooked tea and have just returned to the PC.....you can imagine my relief! Wow, we don't like to do things easy. The 'near' loss we had to have?

Much prefer to be playing Melbourne at the 'G with a double chance than playing those cheating pretenders in an eliminator at the SCG next week. Phew!

3rd is a nice place to be given our history

Not a great win but if you had asked two months ago would you take third? Yes please.
I feel we lost our composure in that second half. Too many long kicks instead of finding an open target.

He was close to BOG, not bad for his final game. Although, he didn't seem totally convinced about his own retirement. Nice touch with Kennedy chairing him off.

Would have liked a home final of course, however finals experience at the MCG for the younger players (and everyone) is really valuable.

Seriously, we should grab him. How good would that be?

Of course, he'd have to earn selection....while his return might be sentimental, selection cannot. It can't be at the expense of a young gun.

Obviously the odds are it won't happen but it would be nice to see him in Red and White one more time.
