Seems it got leaked by the age and now AFL has formally released it.

Not a bad draw at all. Double ups against suns, gws, cats, dockers, dees and tigers.

2 games in Queensland, 2 in SA, 1 in Perth. 5 in Melbourne plus the visit to the Property Development Premiers.

Lots of home afternoon games is a welcome change from my perspective as someone with a 6 hour Rd trip.

    Bring it on

Sounds very similar to last year except we played Saints twice this year instead of one of the other Vic teams, maybe Richmond?

We played Norf twice, too. But the Cats only once (during H&A). And didn’t we just play Freo once? Essendon was our other double up.

Thanks for the correction, yeah now I remember playing the Bombers twice, as well as Norf.

Sorry for being so wrong with my recollection, I should have looked up our 2022 fixtures before posting rubbish info.

Seems like a rough draw to me, which is to be expected as grand finalists. Only easy beats there are GWS. I'd say GC could be easybeat as well but we all know we have a regulation loss to them every year.

The other four teams will likely be in the 8 pushing for top 4.

According to an analysis by Fox Sports, Swans has the most difficult draw in 2023 based on the 2022 percentage of the teams each team play twice in 2023.

Good. We are in the hunt for a premiership, the harder the draw the better. Also given the top 8 is never the same year to year the analysis is only partially relevant

It is the hardest draw of any team. Geelong have the fifth hardest.

There is a ladder of hardest to easiest draws at the end of the above video.

Agreed. If we are good enough, we will be good enough. Bring it on.

You get two: We also play Adelaide in Adelaide late in the season. Not as a double-up game against them though. The longest double-up drought in the AFL will continue unbroken for an 18th year.

The AFL site's breakdown of the draw points out that our round six game against Geelong is their first for the season at Kardinia, and thus that is when they will unfurl their flag. Goody.

We do have a good record of wrecking big occasions down there for them. Hopefully this will be another one.

Seriously?? The AFL likes to stick the knife in. They did it in 2017 when the Bulldogs unfurled the flag against us.

At least Geelong deserved their flag....

Fair enough. Great chance to spoil the celebration.
