“(Michael) O’Loughlin will appear at Moore Park on Friday night alongside 18 of his fellow past Indigenous players to commemorate Marn Grook at the SCG. The Swans champion will present the Goodes-O’Loughlin medal to the best on the ground as part of the evening’s celebrations.”

No mention of Adam Goodes. Still, indigenous round at the SCG in front of Carlton supporters is probably not a good memory for AG.

Bloods champion Michael O’Loughlin discusses his work with the ARA Group ahead of Marn Grook at the SCG.

Without wanting to totally divert this thread, I wonder if AG might be enticed back once GMcL is gone?

Perhaps lawn bowls would be a better choice of alternative sport? I'm sure it would be quite calming for him.

I just entered my tips for the round and it was sitting at 56% Swans 44% Blues.

20% have jumped off us since Monday when I did my tips. I took the generous $1.94 on offer Monday for Carlton but happy to lose my stake if we can conjure up a win. Be great for the Carlton LOLs

Good point. I, for one, hope Gould gets another crack at it. We needed big bodies this week to match up with Curnow/McKay, which Gould isn't ready yet to tackle of this calibre.

Didn't help either that Gould hasn't had opportunity to play alongside Rampe to help hasten his development.

Would hate to see him flourish elsewhere as we've seen with Allir & Newman.

He doesn't play tall and is a step too slow. If he could play on the big boys, he would be in the team instead of Melican. He also lacks athleticism.

I know he hasn't been great, but I'm disappointed that Gould has been dropped. We won't know if he is an AFL player by playing him in our reserves.
                        Similar for Sheldrick and Stephens.

aaaaand yet another Murdoch press Carlton blow torch article this morning. Two page spread by Mick Maguane thumb nailing every Carlton player and how they are performing below standard this year.

Just imagine the pitchforks out for them if we can win tonight with only half a side.

I'm a pretty optimistic guy but I can't see how we win after our recent performances and our injuries. I sure to hope I am wrong but I can really see Curnow kicking 6+ goals and McKay kicking 6+ behinds alone.

P.S. I will be travelling to the game and will not be able to start a match thread so thank you to anyone else who is able to do that.

We are a chance if we start well and get our tails up. Papley and Heeney need to have big games. If they get quick ball into their forward line, it could be a long night.
