The forward line worked better without Hayward.

Lucky he got gastro, or we might have lost that game.

I think that there should be minimal changes baring injuries, for the match against Geelong. Maybe bring Tom Mc back and I wouldn't mind if Buddy had another week off.

If anyone's interested in possible outcomes, there's this resource that runs Monte Carlo simulations on the rest of the season: Squiggle AFL Ladder Predictor
I ran it a few times and it mostly had us finishing 11th to 14th. The highest I got to after about two dozen runs was ninth (with 12 wins, 8th had 13 wins).

8th place was as small as 12 wins plus percentage, but 13 wins seemed to be more common.

If Buddy comes in, we need to ensure his knee is right and then play him in the old Richo role from his latter years on a wing so he can deliver the ball into Logan, Amarty, Heeney and McLean!

Could be a season defining move!

I'd get rid of the defenders. They did nothing on the weekend, nothing!!

Would be interesting to see him on the wing- he’s been known to wonder there at times and I wouldn’t want him to disrupt our forward line if he does come in.
Fox on Gazza is a no brainer and the Pelican deserves a shot on Hawkins- he’s quicker than Francis. I think in fairness to Francis, he has quite good game intelligence and his disposal is effective so he could play the intercept role and then Ramps on Gazza. Depends also if Tom Mac is ready to come in.

Defo drop Clarke in spite of his 2 goals- he’s very good at VFL level but that’s about it, unfortunately.
Wilbur to the ressies to recover form- but Horse won’t do that!????

Geelong's been flouting the rules again, with injuries to Geelong players listed only as "short term", "medium term" and "long term". If we tried anything like that, the AFL would have already fined us.

Rampe will play on Gaza. Always restricts him to single figure possessions.

Very likely. Would you keep Francis in? If Tom Mac is ready to come back, is there room for both? Wilbur for Clarke for sure and that could be it.

Listening to Horse' presser it doesn't sound like Buddy will play this week. He didn't say it explicitly but emphasised the need to give him every chance to play at his best and sounded like they will hold him back to get him truly right.

He seemed a bit more enthusiastic about Tom McCartin, if not definitive and the caveat 'seemed' to be he was time managed last week after a long period out, so it's possible they give him another full run in reserves.
'Delicious' is a fun word to say
