I have never been a big fan of Wicks in our side as I felt he wasn't good enough to play in our best 22. But if he can impact games like this and kick the 1 or 2 roving goals each week like a good small forward should, it's his spot to lose IMO.

Nice to be in front. Some of our ball movement has been great to watch. Especially when Gulden, Florent and Campbell have been involved. Lifted our tackling and were starting to get rewarded with a few frees. Unlike the first quarter, when Essendon were allowed to dispose of it however they wanted.

Shame about Buddy. Wonder if we'll see him again? However, I expect that our young forwards will take their opportunity.
