Given how vindictive the AFL were regarding Buddy coming to the Swans, it wouldn’t surprise me if it eventually transpires that the umpires were under orders to make sure we didn’t win in 2016.

Just watched the first 50. What stands out: his speed and clean overhead marking. Incredible athlete.

Edit: no right footers yet. I don't think he tried to kick goals with his right until last year.

Re clean overhead marking: I’ve read Hawthorn fans say that was one of Buddy’s (many) strengths until he had a series of thumb injuries.

Don’t know the veracity of those comments.

He did seem much better above his head again the last couple of years.

I'm so glad Buddy is coming back for a farewell. He deserves it and so do the fans.

The swans posted a video of the AFLW Derby launch and Jesinta seemed to be hosting it. Hopefully both Buddy and Jesinta stay involved with the club.

I didn't order any Buddy retirement merchandise, but last year I ordered some Buddy 1000 goals merchandise and it took months to arrive. I think it was because the scarf wasn't in stock, so that's why it took so long.

Spoke to Swanshop who said it hadn't been sent yet. The Buddy Book also not available until mid Oct.
