Did anyone the quality of the vison from the ground was a bit off? The adds etc. seemed picture perfect so it's not my telly.

I was wondering through out the game.................if Melbourne had Nick Blakey on their side who would have won the battle ?
ie who was the one link player on either team that created so much chaos and opportunity ?
Blakey by a country mile ?
Blakey has a contract length in the top 5 or 10 in the comp?...................for a very very very good reason !"be tough, only when it gets tough"

I wouldn't mind a Swans Brownlow, to be honest. No Swans player has won a Brownlow since Goodes won his second in 2006 - 18 years ago. This is the Swans' longest Brownlow drought ever."Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi finalComment

Just love winning Thursday night games! It means you can sit back and watch all the other games - even though there's only 3 other games this round - and enjoy them knowing that you've already banked a win.
I'm still on a high from Thursday night!
GO BLOODS!Comment

Too right, getting beaten on a Thursday or Friday night sure puts a downer on the whole weekend for me!Comment

Absolutely.....although last night was annoying with the Blues coming back from nowhere to win.Comment

I'm a touch surprised that McInerney got a fine for rough conduct (presumably for his off the ball bump on Gawn), while Spargo got nothing for his off the ball high shot on Heeney. Even though I don't think there was much force in either, isn't the head supposed to be sacrosanct?Comment

And once again the answer is a pineapple.I'm a touch surprised that McInerney got a fine for rough conduct (presumably for his off the ball bump on Gawn), while Spargo got nothing for his off the ball high shot on Heeney. Agree. Heeney was a bit stunned by it and was rubbing his chin afterwards. But who's surprised at the inconsistency of the MRP?I'm a touch surprised that McInerney got a fine for rough conduct (presumably for his off the ball bump on Gawn), while Spargo got nothing for his off the ball high shot on Heeney. Even though I don't think there was much force in either, isn't the head supposed to be sacrosanct?Comment

My guess would be almost nobody being surprised.

Although, I've just noticed that I started my above post, saying that I was "a touch surprised".
Perhaps I should change that to: almost nobody would be shocked.Comment

When I saw the Spargo incident I thought 'he has to be cited for that' but we seem to live in a fantasy world of two sets of rules these days.I'm a touch surprised that McInerney got a fine for rough conduct (presumably for his off the ball bump on Gawn), while Spargo got nothing for his off the ball high shot on Heeney. Sometimes it seems that the tribunal is influenced by whatever Brian Taylor or Luke Hodge think of the incident. While I often think Hodge is quite an insightful commentator, he does seem to be of the opinion, that the great majority of reportable incidents are accidental or trivial. Perhaps he got into that habit during his own playing career?
While there didn't appear to be that much force in the Spargo incident, he did seem to raise his arm to hit Heeney with an off the ball coat-hanger.Comment
