Hopefully we take a contested mark in our forward 50 at some stage today.

That was a ridiculous free to Hogan.

Yes ridiculous free and terrible bounce that should have been recalled- the umpires need to stay out of this game- it's been competitive and enjoyable.

Giants cant miss a target ... we can't hit a target.

At least our effort is there.

Credit to the giants defence ! Our forwards look very ordinary

Even Errol's kicking is off ?

Our forwards don't look like marking the ball today.

Our own worst enemy so far. Gulden must have kicked directly to the Giants four times, we've been over using the hand ball, and can't get a mark in the front half for the life of us.

Going to be a long afternoon at the office if we don't start controlling the footy better when we have it. Long dump kicks aren't going to do it today.

They look a class above at the moment, I really admire their defence -

With that last one he had the simple 30m kick to the free man but tried to thread the needle 55m between two Giant defenders.

Don’t know whether to say well done for trying the highly difficult pass or saying look for the simple pass.

Giants look like they have a better structure than we do and our forwards are not doing well - probably need a bit more help- Paps has been quiet, he needs to get into the game a bit...

Giants definitely look bigger and more focused than we do- It also looks like a tough game- fitness will play a large role in the later part

I think our mids are doing OK. Forwards and backs have to do some work.

That feels better. A McLean mark followed by McDonald's conversion.

Sign him up. Hayward has been good.

Much more like it boys! Should have had a free to Papley for holding, and arguably a holding the ball in lead up to that terrific Hayward goal.

Was that the Nick Davis special?
