Spot on! It would've been nice to absolutely smash 'em but it was a handy win against a good team on their ground. 10 wins on the trot and we're virtually 4 games ahead of 2nd on the ladder.
    Just loving this season!!

    GO BLOODS!!

If Rowie doesn’t break his Brownlow duck tonight, I’ll invite The Bloods back onto the board.

Great win by the lads.....let's not forget that GWS are a contender and we comfortably controlled the game and probably took the foot off the pedal a bit in the second half. Go Swannies.....keep it up.

He was pretty ordinary today, Riccardi was giving him a bath. Actually he's not been great for a few games now. Patrick Snell had another good game in the 2's.

Melican has been a little off the boil and isnt a great one on one defender, definitely Riccardi has his number, Would love to see Snell have a run (he’s my favourite player in the 2s)

Nah absolute rot. Melican was part of a defence that had us 79:21. Yes they came back but you can’t expect a team 3 games top of the ladder to not ease off a bit in cold, rainy conditions. Someone had to come off for our debutant.

I'd actually be mildly to curious to see how he would keep up his, 'Rowbottom is rubbish' narrative, despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

Solid enough win in the end. I enjoyed the period from Q2-Q3 where the Swans looked like they were doing more or less what they wanted. Probably took their foot off the pedal a little early for my liking, may have been looking to conserve themselves with the game pretty much won.

Conditions really deteriorated through the second half, GWS probably handled the change a bit better but the Swans steadied and a good effort to get over 100. It was 14-0 next door apparently.

Errol does set high standards for himself; late in the game he juggled one over the line in front of us when he was trying to steer it down the wing and gave the ball a big punch in frustration. All good mate, no harm done, we wanted to shout! Another great game from him, Rowbottom and Grundy.

Looking forward to Freo next week. I'm told that stadium club cards are not valid to that game, limited stadium member day passes on sale Monday, so another record crowd is on the cards.

Lol, I found it interesting that Errol was talking James up post match and said he epitomises what it is to be "a Blood". Seems The Bloods himself didn't actually understand the concept.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get free kick stats broken down by umpire? I'd like to see what Stevics numbers against us are like.
As soon as I saw the umpires I knew we were getting no favours.

Third quarter I think, ball is kicked to the top of our goal square, Callum Brown runs back with the flight, knocks over his own man Alleer - whistle, free kick Aleer!!

As for the free for rushing the behind!!!!!!!

Good win, palpitations late but comfortable margin.

If I was umpiring last night, the Brownlow votes would have been Errol 3, Rowie 2 and Finn Callaghan (what a player he’s going to be) 1.

Also, if I was umpiring we would have won the free kick count 74-0.

Count was 20 to 11 their way. No favours indeed.

I reckon we gave away 4 frees where our forwards were holding their opposition player as the ball came in. Our tall forwards do this too regularly. That's 4 times that the ball is dead when it hits the ground and 4 goal opportunities lost. Bloody frustrating. JL says we still have improvement to come. Well John, that's one area I hope you are looking at.

He was everywhere where the ball was. Really impressive game. It's great that even if Warner and Heeney have "quieter" games, Rowbottom steps up.

Glad to see that there was nothing in the Match Review article about the Rowbottom tackle.

Can't believe he ran that far. We are so lucky to have him playing for us. In the second quarter when I was preparing dinner, I looked up and saw someone gather the ball near the boundary and kick an amazing pass to Warner. I wondered who it was that kicked it and said to myself it was probably Gulden. Yes of course it was Gulden!
