We are tied at 8-8 deep in the first quarter at home.

North haven't been playing like a bottom 4 team the last few weeks. And they were unlucky to lose to Collingwood.

Just need to play simpler footy. When we stopped trying to be too clever in the last 5 minutes of the quarter, we looked as lot, lot better. Missing a lot of easy handballs and kicks thus far.

Defensive set up over the ground and defensive pressure looks better, and we got more direct with the ball towards the end of the quarter. Now to really switch on.

Very scrappy start again. We are leading (just), but certainly not looking like a side that are on top of the ladder and premiership favourites, vs. a side that is 17th.

I hope our early/mid season form wasn't fools gold. We look worlds apart from that team at the moment.

Let's hope we build into this game and finish it off the way we should!

And we have definitely not been playing like a top of the ladder team either the last four weeks either.

Before the season we would be stoked to be two games and percentage on top at the start of round 17, but we have had a real form dip since shortly after the bye.

At this rate, other teams are going to pick us off in the coming weeks and in the finals.
