    Coachspeak : "We were affected by the salary cap"
    English : "We did a lousy job of recruiting in the summer"

    Coachspeak :"Some players were a bit underdone"
    English "The selectors were daft enough to pick unfit players"

    Coachspeak :"He's hard , sure - but he's fair"
    English :"He's a cheat and the umpires finally nailed him today"

    Coachspeak :"I was disappointed with our skill levels"
    English :"This lot aren't good enough"

    Coachspeak:"I still think we can make the eight"
    English :"Hope I've got a job next year"

    Coachspeak :"I'm not going to criticise the umpires"
    English :"... because I can't afford to pay the fine"

    Coachspeak:"We need to fine-tune our game plan in September"
    English :"Any ideas on how we can win a finals match?"
