Hey, I'm not advocating fans resort to violence to get their message across. But to me the worst sin of all is to just get up and leave, as if to say "I'm not upset at the result, I can disassociate myself with the team's effort by getting up and forgetting I was even there." I have seen Sydney people leave matches at half time when we are getting flogged.

It seemed the only person furious at 4 lost points last night were RobbieAndo and myself. I just hate the way people seem to shrug their soldiers and go "Oh well."

    I agree completely.

That is such a pet hate of mine, seeing fickle supporters leave in the last quarter. If they aren't going to stay for the whole game, why turn up at all.

I was furious too last night. It seems the Sydney football culture is as strong as ever, back a winner and walk away from a loser.

Don't you know its all about making sure you can get out of the car park before the queues get too long????

      I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

How many of the Swans players were spat on during the early Nineties when we were a pathetic losing team. I would hope the answer is none. I know I use to feel ashamed to support a team losing everyweek, but I stuck with them(just). And Spitting on them or going feral at the coach, just never crossed my mind.

I sat high up in the stands at Rich V SS. last Rnd (can't remember which yr) at Colonial Stadium. We won by a point which kept Rich out of the final 8. Schauble was the hero that day, paddling the ball forward away from goal.

I sat alone in the middle of a very feral rich crowd. I did not show any allegiance to either side until the siren went. I put on my red cap and yelled out at the top of my voice, then left very quickly. LOL. I think they were shell shocked.

Yeah that tiger supporter was pathetic.

Some of you would be mortified if you saw what went on in some games of futbol overseas.

I have seen people actually urinate from the top tier into a whole section of supporters, i have seen vomit and poo been thrown. Seen people get their heads kicked in b/c they were wearing the apparel of the winning side.

              Ahh gotta love Argentinean futbol!

Still he should not have spat at his own player!

I wouldn't be so sure of that. The Richmond fans are a rare bred, they think nothing of this sort of behavour. I have seen much worse from Richmond supporters and I believe the only reason there is such an outcry is because it being caught on camera. This has been going on for years at Richmond and I believe is a major reason why the Tigers have done nothing of note since 1982. The fans won't allow the club to rebuild, there won't put up with crap and as such the club is making poor decisions, just so they don't piss off the supporters. Tony Jewell said as much in the Herald Sun early this year. The board is worried too much about the supporters.

Having grown up in a family with many Richmond fans I know only full well, what happened on Friday Night is nothing new, heck I wasn't shocked to be watching the game on Friday Night, only to see my uncle getting involved with the stuff happening around the race at half time. I knew full well that if this was happening, he'll be involved somehow. Yes the Richmond fans are out of hand and spitting is the lowest of the low (and Richmond fans would say the same thing) but the stuff around the race is nothing new and more than likely most Richmond fans wouldn't be too upset at these actions.

                  Totally agree!
One can FEEL divisive, intolerance and impatience of their supporters on the Richmond board on Bigfooty. I can understand their frustration of no success in over 20 years, but so what! Saints, Swans and others are in the same boat for many more years.

Some Richmond supporters are calling for sacking of Frawley despite the financial implication and the fact that the Tigers list is crap. Instant gratification personified.

I think Richmond supporters' entitled view of the football world will ensure the club will remain in the bottom for very long time.

PS. The Richmond board is a good read especially when you are in a wicked mood!

                    Absolutely ubsurd!
To spit on the players as they leave the field, broken hearted is disgusting! I don't care how badly the team plays!
I hope the Tiger guy is getting a mouthful where he goes now.

Agree Monopoly- any spitting from a Syd crowd and watch out!

Hopefully their current state of woefulness means fewer ferals will travel to Sydney for next week's game!
